BlackbirdSignage

For production companies & AV staging partners

Your show. Your client. Our signage — invisible.

Room signage is the part of show services your client stares at all week and only mentions when it’s wrong. We deliver it under your banner: flat per-show pricing, crew-grade reliability, and a system designed so the failure your client would remember — dark or stale signs — doesn’t happen.

Why partner

What you get out of it

Your margin, not a SaaS meter

No per-screen licensing, no monthly seats, no cloud metering. One flat show package you can mark up like any other line item in your services quote.

White-label by default

We work as your signage department. Your client sees your company delivering their signs — we’re the crew behind it, and we like it that way.

Risk that stays off your name

Every sign carries its own copy of the approved agenda and runs for days without the network. When the show floor Wi-Fi melts down, your line item is the one still working.

One vendor, hardware through ops

Fleet, software, templates, integration, and show-day operation from one contact. No assembling three subcontractors to light up twenty-five doorways.

Scope

What a show package includes

  1. 01

    Room survey & sign plan

Room count, mounting, orientation, power and network reality on the ground — planned with your team, not around it.

  2. 02

    Brand-spec templates

Built from the show's style guide and pixel-matched to the client's reference art. Locked so nothing on-site can drift off-brand.

  3. 03

    Hardware fleet, prepped

Ordinary small computers, prepped and labeled per room before they ship. No per-device licensing — the fleet is part of the package.

  4. 04

    Agenda integration

Connects to RainFocus today; other registration systems via export or API. Every change waits for a human approval before it touches a screen.

  5. 05

    Deployment & show-day operation

We place, verify, and run the fleet through the show — or train your crew on the ops console and stand behind them remotely.

  6. 06

    Strike

Fleet out, data archived, post-show report delivered. The client keeps their template designs for next year.

Ops tooling

A console your show office can actually use

The admin panel is built for a show office, not an IT department: a multiview wall of every sign, per-sign health with its network path, scheduled and instant room messages, an approval queue for agenda changes, and a one-button emergency broadcast.

There’s also a time-travel simulator — preview any minute of any show day on the real signs before doors open. Your client signs off on Tuesday 3 PM’s screens the week before Tuesday exists.

Every change is approved by a human before it reaches a screen.

Who's behind it

Built by crew, not by a vendor

This system was built by working AV technicians — people who have crewed security, medical, and gaming industry conferences at convention-center scale and got tired of readerboard systems that need a full-page refresh, a manual database export, and a prayer.

It replaces a legacy system that served enterprise tech conferences for years: hand-edited pages, five-minute refresh cycles, and no answer at all when the network dropped. Same job, rebuilt the way crew wish it worked — instant updates, human approval, and signs that don’t care whether the venue network is having a good day.

First 30-display deployment: a major enterprise tech conference, Denver, September 2026.
